10 Best Coworking Spaces in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is a major hotspot for digital nomads, thanks to its wonderful weather, friendly vibe, authentic feel, and fantastic food. So, in addition to the almost endless things to see and do here, it makes sense that there are plenty of great coworking spaces in Chiang Mai too.

I spent several months living in Chiang Mai and it’s a super-productive place to meet new people and enjoy a totally different culture. In fact, I’d go back tomorrow without hesitation.

The best workspaces in Chiang Mai are scattered around the city, so you’re never too far away from somewhere to set up shop. But, which are worth it, and why? Let’s find out.

Best Coworking Spaces in Chiang Mai

There are plenty of places to work from in Chiang Mai, so whether you’re a cafe or coworking type, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I never had any problems with the internet in Chiang Mai; in fact, I found it pretty high quality and most coworking spaces have high-speed connections to support your productivity.

But, like anything in life, there are great spots in Chiang Mai and some that don’t offer what they claim. I worked in quite a few different spaces during my time in the city, so I have a pretty decent understanding of where to head to, and where to avoid. Here are my top recommendations:

1. Yellow Coworking Space

digital nomad set up

Yellow Coworking Space is probably the most popular coworking space in Chiang Mai. It’s located in Nimman, and so is pretty easy to reach from most parts of the city. I liked the laid-back vibe in this space, and they have weekly social evenings.

The decor is bright and vibrant, and there are plenty of spaces for collaboration, which is encouraged. I found the staff really helpful, and they all speak English, so you can ask for whatever you need and know that you’ll be understood.

I also liked that there’s an on-site cafe so you can grab a coffee or lunch while you’re there, without having to venture outside. Overall, I found Yellow Coworking Space a really productive place to be.

Punspace is a famous coworking space in Chiang Mai, and there are three locations to choose from. The busiest is in Wiang Kaew, but there’s a branch in Nimman and another close to Tha Phae Gate. I worked from this last spot a few times, and I really liked the layout and general vibe.

The chairs here are super comfortable and it’s really easy to focus and get plenty of work completed. The internet is also really fast, and there are plenty of separate spaces if you want to work away from others.

This spot is located very close to plenty of cafes and restaurants if you fancy a break, and it’s particularly great for meeting other like-minded people here.

This is the best coworking spot in Chiang Mai if you want to combine work and accommodation, and when done this way, prices are very competitive. The only downside with this space is that it can get booked up fast, so you’ll need to plan ahead.

The space itself is comfortable and sleek, with lots of facilities on site, including a nap room (amazing). It’s an especially innovative space, and they’re always adding new equipment and ideas.

Camp Creative is one of the more unique coworking spaces in Chiang Mai as it’s a coworking space, library, and cafe all rolled into one. This space is located inside the MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, so you’re close to plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops. However, the on-site cafe offers fantastic coffee – I actually found it better than the drinks from the cafes outside.

The decor is neutral and wooden, giving it a calming feel. It’s less sleek than some other choices, but a lot more comfortable. The chairs are also ergonomic, so no cause for a sore back.

The major plus point of this coworking space is that if you buy something from the cafe, you can use the facilities for free for two hours. The internet here is also high-speed – it didn’t drop once while I was there.
